The Monarch XX-V Series Vertical Rod Device is produced to meet the demanding requirements of higher traffic installations. The XX-V device is a surface applied (including strikes) vertical rod type . with the traditional crossbar design.
- Hand: Field reversible
- Strikes: 4163 strikes are surface applied. 2130 strike is mortised into floor.
- Angle Bracket: Use 4215 angle bracket in flush transom installations. Allows use of standard 4163 strike.
- Arms: Forged brass, aluminum and investment cast stainless steel.
- Crossbars: 1" O.D., brass, bronze and stainless steel. Reinforced and knurled crossbars available.
- Latchbolt: Top stainless steel, 3⁄4" throw. Bottom stainless steel bolt, 1⁄2" throw.
- Deadlocking Latchbolt: Standard.
- Latch Retraction Hold: Standard with top latch.
- Sizes: 3'0" standard.
- Doors: 1-3⁄4" thick, wood or metal.
- Specify thickness if other than 1-3⁄4". Projection: 5" maximum, 4" dogged.
- Stile: 2-3⁄4" minimum when used in pairs.
- Fasteners: All mounting screws are concealed. Sheet metal screws standard.
- Sex Bolts: When device is used with hollow core, composite or light gage Hollow Metal, specify 14-#2729 SNB.
- ANSI: Certified ANSI A156.3-2001 Grade 1 standards
- XX-V: Pullman latch top. 4163 strike top, bottom bolt 2130 flush strike bottom.
- Vertical Rods: Furnish to length based on a 40-1⁄4" horizontal CL from finished floor, and a 7'0" door standard. Variations from these standards must be specified when ordering.
- Cylinder included with Entrance and Night Latch Function Devices.
